Last evening after work, we were back at the agency again to pick up our new maid, her name is Yanti. Agent already sent Siti to another branch office before we arrived. Yanti looks pleasant. As a second time employer, I learnt my mistake, it’s still too early to comment much. However, am just glad that she can understand simple mandarin.
Isabel got along with her pretty well. Isabel called her auntie the moment she came in. We wanted Isabel to call kakak. Anyway, let her be. Since Isabel expressed in cantonese most of the time, she has language problem with Yanti, who could only speak bahasa and mandarin.
Still feeling pretty sad and wondering how is Siti. Last night, hubby said afterall I am a good person, to feel for ex-maid. Later, hubby said since some of the maids in the agency saw us when we sent Siti there and when we were back later to fetch Yanti, would they tell Siti that her ex-employer got a new maid? If yes, Siti would hate us? Actually, we are at the situation that we should not think too much about her, but somehow, we do not want to bear hatred on each other.
Isabel only asked me a few times where is Siti. Kids do not have good memory. Yes, I am glad that she was ok with Siti’s absence. However, I feel sorry for Siti that the gal she missed a lot did not seem to miss her. Siti took a picture with Isabel during her birthday celebration last month. I will put this photo in Isabel’s photo album. Afterall, Siti was Isabel’s “nanny”, when Isabel is bigger, she ought to know that Siti was once with her for a period of time.
I learnt from agent that Siti will be having an interview today. I believe she has no problem finding a new employer. Again, I wish her the best.
Evan developed rashes due to allergy from the anti-biotics. We sent him to PD last evening. He lao sai too. PD gave him three types of medicine for lao sai… feeding him medicine is like feeding him poison. He was also prescribed with another bottle of medicine for his rashes. Since he looks ok this morning, I decided not to give him the rashes medicine
